My Default Apps at the End of 2024

Updated:

Footnotes

  1. My dream is to get rid of WhatsApp, to be meta free. Unfortunately, 99% of my contacts use it, so I won’t see this happening soon.

  2. iCloud for the important things, Dropbox for a bunch of legacy stuff, Mega for the expandable ones.

  3. After years of great service, that helped me to abandon gmail, I wanted something more robust and Fastmail hit the spot. I especially love the mask email feature and the integration with 1password.

  4. I tried to fully move to Obsidian, but Notes is too convenient.

  5. Bitwarden is great, but 1password is way better, I love the developer tools.

  6. Unfortunately Omnivore has been acquired and discontinued.

  7. I would have never thought that I would end up paying for a search engine, and yet here I am. Definitely the best upgrade of my last year. Right now, I couldn’t do without it. The integration of the quick answers is fantastic. Try it.
